Day 1: Arrive in Delhi

Arrive in Delhi, after clearing Customs and Immigration, you will be met by our representative outside the International Arrivals Hall and transferred to the Hotel. (Rooms will be available from 1400 noon)

Day 2:  In Delhi

Breakfast at the hotel.

The city beautifully encloses magnificent landmarks and monuments that narrate the story of their glorious past.

Morning, proceed for full-day sightseeing of Old Delhi.

This includes driving past the Red Fort (Closed on Monday and National Holidays), built in 1648 during the reign of Shah Jehan in red sandstone, which gave the fort its name.

Jama Masjid is India’s largest mosque, built of red sandstone and white marble in the middle of the 17th century. Chandni Chowk (Silver Street), once the imperial avenue, is today bustling with shops, stalls and silversmiths’ ateliers.

After lunch, we drive past India Gate, a 42-metre archway built in memory of Indian soldiers killed during the First World War. Rashtrapati Bhawan, built in the early 20th century as the Imperial residence of the Viceroy is today the official residence of the President of India and Parliament House, a unique circular building with huge colonnades, houses the Upper and Lower Houses of Parliament.

One of Delhi’s most striking monuments is the 70-meter high Qutab Minar, which looms majestically across the wide plains of Delhi.

In the evening, enjoy the welcome dinner.

Day 3:  Delhi – Agra (205 Km / Approx. 4 hours drives)

After breakfast at hotel drive to Agra, on arrival at Agra, check in at hotel.

Afternoon visit Agra Fort – Few forts in the world have a more fascinating story to tell than the Great Fort of Agra.  Originally planned as an impregnable military structure by Akbar, the Agra Fort, over a period of time, acquired all the elegance,

Lavishness and majesty of an imperial palace. Situated 3 km upstream of the Taj Mahal on the right bank of the Yamuna, it took eight years to complete and entailed an expenditure of three and a half million rupees.

Later visit the Taj Mahal(Closed on Friday) to see the sun casting its mellow rays on this magical building. The rays of the rising sun bathe the pristine white marble edifice in warm hues of gold, ochre, orange, rust and flame.

Day 4:  Agra – FatehpurSkri – Jaipur (223 Km / Approx. 5 hours drives)

After breakfast drive to Jaipur on the way visit FatehpurSikri( UNESCO World Heritage Site) is the deserted sandstone city, which was the glorious but short-lived imperial capital of Akbar, the greatest of Mughal emperors. A variety of architectural styles are found, since craftsmen representing many schools were employed.

After visit of FatehpurSikri further drive to Jaipur,arrive at Jaipur and Check-in at hotel.

Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, is the home of the Rajputs, a warrior clan who ruled this part of India for many years. Built in 1727 by the warrior-astronomer Maharaja Jai Singh II, the city of Jaipur is laid out as described in the ancient Hindi treatise on  architecture, known as the “Shilpa-Shastra”. Battlement walls with seven gates encircle the old city; broad avenues divide it into neat rectangles. Jaipur is popularly known as the “pink city”, from the pink-colored sandstone of the buildings in the old walled city

Day 5 : In Jaipur

Breakfast at hotel.

Today, we enjoy morning excursion to Amber Fort and afternoon sightseeing tour of Jaipur city.

Amber, the capital of Rajasthan for 6 centuries before Jaipur was built, lies 11 kms. north of Jaipur. Rising majestically on the slopes of a hill, this 11th century fort and palace complex is a blend of Hindu and Muslim styles.

After lunch, explore Jaipur.

The City Palace stands in the centre of the city. Part of it is still the Maharaja’s residence, while most of the complex has been developed into a museum containing rare manuscripts, fine specimens of Rajput and Mughal paintings, royal apparel and an armory.

Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) is the landmark of Jaipur. It stands on one of the main streets, a curious building, elaborate and fanciful, built of pink sandstone with a delicate honeycomb design.

 JantarMantar observatory, built by the founder of Jaipur, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh. The huge stone instruments were devised to study the movements of the sun, moon and planets and are incredibly accurate.

Day 6: Jaipur – Jodhpur (350 km / approx. 7 hours drives)

After breakfast in hotel, check out and drive to Jodhpur; check in at hotel upon arrival.

After lunch enjoy a sightseeing of Jodhpur.

Visit Meherangarh Fort, Established in 1459, is an impressive and unique synthesis of massive walls and lacelike palaces.  Today, the Fort houses the finest museum, with the most modern museum methods of study and conservation in Rajasthan. The museum also has an amazing collection of never-before-published paintings.

On the way down from the fort, on left is Jaswant Thada, the graceful marble cenotaph of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. His son Maharaja SardarSinghji built the Taj Mahal of Marwar in the memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singhji II of Jodhpur.

Umaid Bhawan Palace: Located at 2 km southeast of the Jodhpur city at the top of a hill, Umaid Bhawan Palace is another major landmark of Jodhpur. Commissioned by Maharaja Umaid Singh in 1929 as a famine relief scheme, the impressive rose sandstone and marble palace was built between 1923 and 1940, providing employment for 3,000 famine-stricken people. Now a famous hotel, the Palace also houses a Museum.

Day 7: Jodhpur – Ranakpur – Udaipur ( 250 km / Approx. 5 hours drives)

After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Udaipur and enroute visit sculptural splendor of Ranakpur.

In Ranakpur you will enjoy the sculptural Beauties; Ranakpur is famous for its temples. There is complex for the temples; this complex is located 90 km away from Udaipur. Among them most popular is Chaumukha temple. There are four faces which point four different sides. The temple has 29 halls with 1,444 pillars. The uniqueness lies in the construction of the pillars. Each and every pillar has different design. The temple is devoted to Adinath the first Tirthankar of Jain religion. There are two other temples in this compound. These temples are devoted to another Jain Tirthankars namely Neminath and Parasnath. The compound has not only Jain temples. You can find a Sun temple and the temple of Amba Mata.

Day 8: In Udaipur

Breakfast at hotel.

Full-day Sightseeing of Udaipur. Udaipur is one of the most romantic cities in India. Beautiful lakes, giant palaces and forts, exquisite havelis, manicured gardens make for this fairytale land. Enjoy a full-day visit to explore Udaipur.

City Palace Museum: The museum is located within the Fateh Prakash Palace complex. It displays a diverse array of weapons, utensils, artifacts and many other things. The collection is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Udaipur.
Sahelion Ki Bari: Built by MaharanaSangram Singh, this is a beautiful garden with large flowerbeds, lawns, pools, fountains and trees. It offers fantastic glimpses of the lifestyle of the court-ladies.

Jag Mandir: Located in the island amid the Lake Pichola, this is a beautiful palace with elegant stone carving. Maharana Karan Singh built this palace to give shelter to Prince Khurram the estranged son of Emperor Jahangir

Fateh Sagar: Located in the vicinity of the famous Saheliyon-ki-Bari Garden, Fateh Sagar is a beautiful lake, built by MaharanaFateh Singh in 1678. A canal built at the beginning of the 20th century connects it to the Lake Pichola. Nehru Park, a popular garden island with a boat-shaped café, is situated in the middle of the Lake.

Day 9: Udaipur / Mumbai Fly

After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to Mumbai. Tonight, share wonderful memories of your journey in India at a Farewell Dinner with your fellow travelers.

Day 10:  Mumbai departure

Begin your tour of Mumbai at the commanding Gateway to India Arch, built to commemorate the 1911 royal visit of King George V. Ironically; 24 years later, the last British regimen marched through the Arch while leaving India following the country’s independence. Continue to Dhobi Ghat, where dirty laundry from all over Mumbai is brought to a massive open-air laundry and painstakingly hand washed by the “dhobis” (washermen) in endless rows of concrete troughs fitted with flogging stones. It provides an unforgettable glimpse into the workings of the city and unlike anything you have ever seen. Stop at the Mani Bhavan Mahatma Gandhi Museum, where Gandhi’s movement was launched in 1942 and the serene ISKCON Temple. Drive through colonial Mumbai with its many buildings, structures and historical monuments still remaining from the colonial era. In the evening transfer to Mumbai airport for onward flight.

Day 2:  In Delhi

Wake up this morning to the incredible journey in India that awaits you. Begin with the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Qutub Minar, the world’s tallest brick minaret. Later, continue on to the walled city of Old Delhi, founded by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Drive past the massive Red Fort, a reminder of the magnificent power and pomp of the Mughal emperors. Then, ride a cycle rickshaw along the lanes of Chandni Chowk, once the imperial avenue of Mughal royalty. Travel along the winding streets to Raj Ghat, memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, Father of the Nation and site of his cremation. The tour continues to New Delhi, a city of airy boulevards, lush parks and gardens. Visit the and the 20th-century Birla Temple, honoring the Hindu goddess of wealth. Drive past the imposing India Gate War Memorial to Indian and British soldiers, Parliament House and the Presidential Palace. Evening, return back to the hotel

Day 4: In Agra

Today a memorable day as you visit the astonishing Taj Mahal (Taj Mahal closed on all Friday), built by Emperor Shah Jahan as a mausoleum for his beloved queen. This is perhaps the most perfect architectural monument in the world, built of white marble and precious stones over a 22-year period; regarded as the finest example of Mughal design in the world. Afterwards, stop at Marble shop, whose founding family was inspired by the Taj Mahal to become a manufacturer of fine inlaid marble work. Marvel at the museum quality workmanship as you watch a demonstration of the timely process of marble carvings, filigree and stone inlay. Afterwards, you’ll be able to browse their decorative items. Later, visit the red sandstone Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with its incredible maze of walled courtyards, mosques and lavish private chambers reflecting the grandeur of the Mughal Empire. Tonight, celebrate “love” at an optional evening performance of Mohabbat-e-Taj; a series of plays that portrays the intense love of the Shah Jahan for his wife and depicts the lavish lifestyle of the Mughal era

Day 5: Agra –Ranthambore( 306 km / Approx. 7 hour’s drives)

Depart Agra to the small ancient village of Abhaneri in northern Rajasthan. Here, you visit the Chand Baori step well, fortified on all sides, one of the oldest and largest in India dating back to the 8th or 9th century. This unique idea, conceived by the early natives to function as a water reservoir, is situated adjacent to the temple dedicated to Harshat Mata, the goddess of joy and happiness. After lunch, drive to the Ranthambore National Park region, one of the largest and most renowned national parks in Northern India, the former hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur. Time to enjoy the beautiful new surroundings.Dinner together tonight at the hotel.

Day 6: Ranthambore

This  morning drive to the wildlife sanctuary at Ranthambore National Park. A local naturalist guide joins you in your park-assigned Jeep or Canter vehicle as you begin your search for elusive tigers as well as hyenas, jackals and foxes. The park is dotted with structures, including a huge hilltop fort that reminds you of a bygone era. Ranthambore National Park was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1957 and in 1974 it gained the protection of “Project Tiger.” The park is truly a wildlife enthusiasts and photographer’s dream, most famous for its tigers and one of the best locations in India to see these majestic predators in their natural habitat. Have lunch at the hotel, with time to relax before the evening safari that is sure to thrill you. Return to the lodge in time for dinner.

Day 7: Ranthambore – Jaipur (189 km / 3 ½ hour’s drives)

After breakfast drive to Jaipur, gateway to the desert state of Rajasthan. Arrive in this glorious city, with its colorful stucco buildings lining the wide streets and you’ll understand why it’s nicknamed the “Pink City.” The city was painted this unique color in 1876 to celebrate the first visit of the Prince of Wales to Jaipur. Drive past stunning hilltop forts and glorious palaces en route to the hotel. After breakfast excursion to the spectacular Amber Fort, a stunning fusion of Mughal and Hindu styles, with its gorgeous Palace of Mirrors.On the way, drive past the Hawa Mahal, the “Palace of Winds” with its lacy ornamental façade accented by delicate latticework and honeycomb windows. Arrive to the Amber Fort and ascend the hill to the ramparts by  elephant or Jeep from here, view the breathtaking panorama of Jaipur’s original city walls and Maotha Lake. Enjoy some refreshments while shopping the vast collection of local handicrafts at Jaipur Handicrafts, offering premium quality handmade carpets, textiles, pashminas, pottery and paintings. Fabrics in all colors and texture are available for loose purchase as well as custom design work. Day 9: Jaipur – Jodhpur (350 km / Approx. 7 hour’s drives)

After breakfast drive to  Jodhpur  the blue-hued old city of Jodhpur, which lies at the foot of the massive Mehrangarh Fort that dominates the skyline. Begin with a visit to the Jaswant Thada Memorial, built in 1899 out of the finest marble in honor of the Maharaja of Jodhpur. Afterwards, ascend to the imposing Mehrangarh Fort, built in 1459 of burnished red sandstone, often called the “Citadel of the Sun.” This fort, one of the most impressive in all of Rajasthan, is acknowledged as one of the best preserved forts in all of India.

Day 10: Jodhpur to Udaipur via Ranakpur ( 248 km / Approx. 5 hour’s drives)

This morning after breakfast drive to Udaipur. On your drive, stop in Ranakpur to visit one of the Jain’s holiest pilgrimage centers and the Jain Temple, dating back to the 14th and 15th centuries, crafted of pure white marble with more than a thousand columns. See the magnificent views of the surrounding landscape before departing to Udaipur, known as the “City of Lakes” and celebrated for its fairy-tale marble palaces that seem to rise from the waters of Lake Pichola. Arrive at your hotel in Udaipur late in the evening.
