Day 1 : Kathmandu

Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 2 : Kathmandu – Nagarkot

Morning  breakfast at hotel and proceed for sightseeing of Kathmandu Durbar Square,Situated in the heart of old Kathmandu city at Basantapur, Kathmandu Durbar Square never fails to impress first time visitors with its ensemble of palaces, courtyards and temples built during the Malla period. The Durbar Square includes the Hanuman Dhoka Royal Palace, the historic seat of the royalty; the magnificent Taleju Temple towering more than 40 meters; KumariGhar, the residence of the Living Goddess, Kumari; Ashok Vinayak, also called Kathmandu Ganesh, a temple without a filial ; and KalBhairav, the God of Wrath. The capital takes its name from the giant pagoda of Kasthamandap, which is said to have been built out of a single tree. Since the time of the Malla kings, the Durbar Square has been the city’s social, religious and political focal point. or Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square is the plaza in front of the old royal palace of the then Kathmandu Kingdom. It is one of three Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal, all of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Lunch, After Lunch Drive to Nagarkot. On the way Sight Seeing of Bhaktapur Durbar Square,among the three durbar squares, the Bhaktapur Durbar Square is by far the most elegant with its large open space facing south. The 15th century Palace of 55 Carved Windows and the palace entrance, the Golden Gate – a masterpiece in repousse art – have added splendour to this palace square which consists of buildings dating from the 13th century to the 18th century. The extraordinary Durbar Square with its extraordinary monuments reflects the glory days of the Malla dynasty when art and architecture thrived in the three cities of the valley. In front of the palace building are innumerable temples and architectural showpieces like the Lion Gate, the statue of King BhupatindraMalla mounted on a giant stone pillar and the Batsala Temple. The stone temple of Batsala Devi is full of intricate carvings and is a beautiful example of Shikhara-style architecture. There is a bronze bell on the terrace of the temple, which is also known as the Bell of Barking Dogs. Erected by King Ranjit Malla in 1737, its sounding announced the beginning and end of a daily curfew.

Day 3 : Kathmandu – Nagarkot

This morning witness sunrise , Breakfast. After Breakfast drive back to Kathmandu. Sight Seeing of Bouddhanath Stupa, This stupa is 6 km to the east of Kathmandu and is said built in 5th century AD. This ancient stupa is one of the biggest in the world and is ringed by Buddhist lamas and monasteries. This is a very holy stupa for Tibetan Buddhists who come here in thousands in winter festival to pay their tribute. Lunch.Dinner at restaurant.Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 4 : Kathmandu

Morning breakfast at hotel .After breakfast  proceed for sightseeing  of Swayambhunath Stupa, This is a 2500 years old stupa situated on a hillock about 77 m above the ground level and over looking Katmandu valley. The painted eyes on four sides represent the all-seeing eyes of Buddha and are watching all the time wrong doers and good doers. This is a very religious shrine of Buddhists. There are two Buddhist monasteries within the complex and a temple of Haratima where both Buddhists and Hindus worship this temple. The shrine is just 3 km to the northwest of Kathmandu city .After Lunch Free time in Thamel Market for shopping. Dinner at Baithak restaurant with ethnic Nepali Culture show.Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 4 : Kathmandu Departure

Breakfast at hotel and assisted departure transfer to airport for onward flight.

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu

Arrive in Kathmandu, meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu – Pokhara

Morning breakfast at hotel and drive to Pokhara and en-route lunch at local restaurant. Arrive in Pokhara and check in at hotel. Pokhara’s bewitching beauty has been the subject of many travel writers. Its pristine air, spectacular backdrop of snowy peaks, serene lakes and surrounding greenery make it ‘the jewel in the Himalaya’, a place of remarkable natural beauty. With the magnificent Annapurna range forming the backdrop and the serenity of three major lakes – Phewa, Rupa and Begnas – Pokhara is the ultimate destination for relaxation. Pokhara Valley, gateway to the Annapurna region where many a trekker finds his Shangri-la, sits high on the list of ‘must visit’ places in Nepal.

Day 3: In Pokhara

Early morning drive to Sarankot to watch sunrise. Return back to hotel for breakfast at the hotel. visit  Devi’s Fall and boating in Fewa lake, Lunch at the hotel. After lunch free time in Lakeside market.Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Pokhara – Chitwan

This morning post breakfast drive to Chitwan National park, Chitwan literally means “heart of the jungle”. In recent years Chitwan tops the list of things to do in Asia. It is a truly wildlife adventure of a different kind – jungle safaris on elephant backs or jeeps, bird watching, canoe rides and jungle walks.
The Chitwan National Park is Asia’s best preserved conservation area, where wildlife thrives and their habitats remain intact. Only half-hour flight from Kathmandu, the park lies in the Inner Terai lowlands and consists of Sal forests, tall elephant grasslands, hills, ox-box lakes and flood plains of the Narayani, Rapti and Reu rivers.Enlisted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site (Natural) in 1984, the park spreads over an area of 932 sq. km.

Post lunch game drive and back to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Chitwan National park

Breakfast at hotel and entire day jungle activities .

Day 7: Chitwan – Lumbini

Breakfast at hotel and  drive to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, in the Terai plains of Nepal is one of the greatest pilgrimage sites for Buddhists. More than 400,000 Buddhists and non Buddhists visit Lumbini every year. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site (Culture) and holds immense archeological and religious importance. Check in at the hotel. After lunch sightseeing of Lumbini Garden,Sacred Garden: It was here in the gardens of Lumbini that Prince Siddhartha Gautam, who later became the Buddha, was born in 623 BC. The nativity site is marked by a commemorative pillar erected by Mauryan Emperor Ashoka of India during his pilgrimage to the holy site in 249 BC.

The inscription on the Ashoka Pillar identifies the  Sacred Garden – spread over 9 sq. km – as the spot where the Enlightened One was born. A large number of Buddhist pilgrims from all over the world visit Lumbini to pray at the  Mayadevi Temple where excavations have revealed the “marker stone” showing the exact spot where Siddhartha Gautam Buddha was born. The sacred  PuskarniPond where Queen Mayadevi had taken a bath before the birth of Buddha lies to the south of the pillar. It was also in this pond that the infant Buddha was given his first bath.

Day 8: Lumbini – Kathmandu

After breakfast drive back to Kathmandu and lunch on the way at local restaurant. Check in at the hotel. Afternoon  time free to explore Thamel market. Dinner at Baithak Restaurant with ethnic Nepali Culture. Overnight at the Hotel

Assisted departure transfer to airport for onward journey.
